Accelerated Nursing Program in Indianapolis

The accelerated BSN program at Marian University allows students with a previous bachelor’s degree to become a nurse in 16 months of full-time study. Students receive the same level of academic quality as those who attend campus-based programs at Marian, with additional benefits that accompany online learning.

Our comprehensive nursing curriculum is designed to be completed in four semesters and supported by hands-on hospital clinical rotations at healthcare facilities throughout Indianapolis. Rotations are concurrent with coursework, so you don’t have to wait to apply your education in a hospital setting. Clinical competencies include medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, psychiatric and mental health and leadership and management.

While all theory coursework is completed online, students enrolled in the accelerated nursing degree program are required to come onsite for practice in our nursing resource center, advising appointments with the director of nursing education and all exams. The site is separate from the main campus and is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

At the end of the program, you will be thoroughly prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and begin a career of state-of-the-art nursing practice.
